TWi encourages community inclusion during Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

Canton, Ohio –In celebration of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, The Workshops, Inc (TWi) is hosting a contest aimed at promoting inclusion of individuals with developmental disabilities within our community. The contest is open to all students up to age 19 in counties served by TWi, including: Stark, Mahoning, Trumbull, Tuscarawas, and Portage.

TWi is seeking submissions of original, informative poster designs. Poster designs should relate to the theme: Together We Soar, and show what can be achieved when we include individuals with developmental disabilities in all areas of our community.

Three grand prize winners will be selected, with one from each of the following age categories: up to 8 years old, 9-13 years old, and 14-19 years old. Each grand prize winner will receive: a

$100 Visa gift card, and 2 tickets to a home Cleveland Indians game. One ultimate grand prize winner will have their original design featured on a billboard. Additionally, the first 100 students to submit a poster will receive a t-shirt featuring a unique, inclusion inspired, design created by an individual with developmental disabilities.

Submissions will be accepted beginning March 1 through April 5. To enter, submissions should be emailed to marketing@choosetwi.com, or mailed to TWi at 4065 Bradley Circle NW Canton, OH 44718. All submissions must include: student name, age, school, shirt size, and a short description of the submission.
