Nurturing skills that build independence
Personal-care skills – cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene – may be a challenge for some of our participants. TWi’s Community Services, known as homemaker personal care, helps participants learn how to manage day-to-day care of themselves to enhance their overall well-being.
Our experienced staff delivers training that equips participants to gain progressive independence. The training is practical and repeatable and includes things like cooking classes, basic cleaning instructions and assistance with medication reminders.
Participants remain in the comfort and safety of their own homes as they receive assistance. Family members also have access to respite care services through TWi’s Community Services.
